About Us: I am a patent lawyer and registered professional engineer with a knack for all things related to sports equipment and human performance enhancement gear, including improvements relating to biofeedback. This includes sports equipment such as baseball bats, ping pong paddles, badminton racquets, tennis racquets, racquetball racquets, cricket bats, pool cues, darts, archery/firearms, squash racquets, curling stones, pole vaulting poles, lacrosse sticks, water sport paddles and oars such as kayak, rowing, and canoe paddle handles, fishing rods, fly fishing rods, bicycles, motorcycles and snowmobiles, discuses, javelins, hammers, shoes, skates, weight lifting bars, rhythmic gymnastics sticks, juggling pins and balls, flying disks, throwing axes and knives, and fencing equipment. As a mechanical engineer and patent attorney, I help inventors with product clearance projects to avoid unintentionally infringing the patents of their competitors, as well as identifying unique attributes of the clients’ inventions and creatively crafting patent claims to cover their inventions and make it as hard as possible for competitors to avoid the claims. The art of creative patent claim drafting is difficult, and something that is difficult for most patent attorneys. I love the challenge. As you can see, our lawyers are experienced in creative patent claiming and making it difficult for competitors to formulate noninfringment and invalidity positions; a must-have patent strategy that should not be overlooked. While my IP law firm is located in Columbus Ohio, we regularly work with clients across the country.
